Udyam Registration can be filed by any entrepreneur according to the type of agency they belong to or enterprises they want to start by using a single Aadhaar number as per the latest notification announced by the Ministry Of MSME. Prior to the notification, one can opt for their different business by using a single Aadhaar number. Now, the government has combined the whole process under one name ‘Udyam’. The process has been started on 01st July, 2020.

Udyam Registration is the new registration process for registering MSME companies. On 26th June 2020, the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises declared that any enterprises which are already registered or want to register will have to re-register their MSME into Udyam. It was known before the notification as Udyog Aadhaar Registration, now known as Udyam Registration. It has been effective from the 1st day of July 2020. Any entrepreneur who wants to register an MSME will have to register in Udyam registration portals online as Udyam. The business will be given an Udyam Registration Number and Certificate from which they can take advantage of the Udyam registration benefits provided by the Government Of India..
The Central Government in its notification dated 26.06.2020 notifying the conditions for classifying the enterprises as micro, small and medium businesses along with the prescribed type and process for filing the "Udyam Register" with effect from 01.07.2020. The new businesses may file online registration forms based on self-declaration without any additional documents or proof.
The Govt of India has introduced the new standards for ventures as Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) on June 1st 2020 . It was announced that MSMEs will now be known as Udyam and the registration for MSME’s is called Udyam Registration. Any person wishing to establish an MSME will have to register as Udyam online in Udyam registration portals.
